Psalms 91 has been a constant source of comfort for countless believers to cope with the challenges of life. The words reveal God as the Protector of those who trust in Him.
"The secret place is an intimate place of personal relationship and communion with God."
Four different names of God are revealed in this beautiful Psalms:
1) Most High - in Hebrew is El Elyon meaning God's strength, supremacy & sovereign.
It was 1st revealed in Gen.14:18-20 when Melchizedek blessed Abram.
Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego was also protected (Dan. 3:26) by El Elyon in the fire.
Jesus is revealed as the Son of El Elyon - Luke 1:32, Mk. 5:7.
Satan wanted to be like El Elyon according to Isaiah 14:12-14

2) Almighty - in Hebrew is El Shaddai meaning the All-sufficient one.
When we have God, we have everything.

3) Lord - in Hebrew is YHVH
4) God - El

Where is the secret place? CHRIST is the secret place - Jn. 15: 4,7
He is our spiritual covering and HE IS THE TRUTH - Jn. 14:6
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth - John 16:13

"Dwells" means to remain not a visitor but to abide and stay.

Psalms 91:13
Three names of the adversary revealed:
1) Lion
2) Adder
3) Dragon

A) Lion is an enemy that you can hear but might not always see.
B) An adder is a hidden enemy (under a rock) that you might not know until you feel it's bite.
C) Dragon is a creature of imagination that spits fire.
Symbolically, you will be protected from what you hear, feeling and imagination.

Remain in the secret place of the Most High. No harm will come to you. No weapon form against you will prosper and every evil words will be of no effect.
Angels will protect you! (Ps.91:11)
The LORD will save you from the ensnaring trap and from the devastating pestilence (Ps. 91:3)

So stay strong in your confession no matter the circumstances or the storms of life:
"I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Ask, seek and knock

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."

 Matt. 7: 7-8

Ask, seek & knock - These are the words of Jesus. I believe that he is revealing a deeper and higher level of prayer. There is within this verse a suggested progression in prayer. As believers, we are to grow with God.

The Amplified Version translate these verses as:

"Keep on asking and it will be given you; keep on seeking and you will find; keep on knocking [reverently] and [the door] will be opened to you. For everyone who keeps on asking receives; and he who keeps on seeking finds; and to him who keeps on knocking, [the door] will be opened."

This is in the present imperative which is a command not only to do something but to keep on doing it indefinitely. All three verbs in verse seven, Ask, Seek, Knock are not only imperatives (commands) but they are present tense imperatives. We are told to ask and keep on asking, we are to seek and keep on seeking and we are to knock and keep on knocking.

These very words; Ask, Seek and Knock seems to suggest an ever increasing intensity in prayer.

1.Asking: There are some things that the need is so clear that we merely ask for them. We are told to ask in faith. Believe by faith that you shall receive your request.

But then we move to another level in relationship and prayer when we seek:

My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”
Your face, Lord, I will seek.
Ps. 27:8

2. Seeking is a deeper level of prayer than just asking. Seeking His presence, His will and the principle of the Kingdom (Matt. 6:33). Intimacy with God begins when we radically pursue Him with our whole heart.
God invites us in James 4:8 to "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."
This is where your prayer turns to: "God, I want more of You. Lord I want more of Your Presence. I desire more of your fullness in my life. Fill me with more of You."
Salvation through Jesus Christ gives us the right to enter into God's presence. Worshiping God is a key to intimacy with God. Congregational and personal worship are both important. Intimacy with God will bring radical changes in you!

3.Knocking. The knocking here denotes seeking entrance. Entering another arena and dimension. It opens  the gateway to the supernatural realm - The access to living in the miraculous. This level is where we overcome limitations and walk in our God-given destiny and purpose in life. This level produce revelations, visions and impartations from God. The Holy Spirit becomes the leader of your life.

It's time for you to experience the supernatural...living with joy and saying:  “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” [Luke 10:17-20]

I encourage you to grow in prayer.

Power of Love

Love is one thing that can help us survive the storms of life.
Love will sustain us through the most difficult journeys of our life.
Love is powerful, strong and forces every other power to succumb to its feet.

1 John 4:8

8 "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." (NIV)
Love is a person – God is love.
The Holy Spirit is really the only true source of Holy love (Romans 5:5)
Love is the badge of true Christianity (1 John 4:19-21).
You and I will be judged by the love expressed toward God…and towards others.
If you do not discern true love around you, you will alienate good people and embrace evil people.
If we fail to grow the love nature of the Holy Spirit, we will become a well of anger, a volcano of poison, and a carrier of spiritual cancer… into our home, our job and our church.

Remember that the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness , temperance :against such there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23).

In this journey of life, disappointment and injustice may be inevitable and offenses cannot be stopped.
But only one weapon is capable of defusing the deadly poison of Satan…the weapon of love.
You can only conquer through understanding the awesome power of Holy Love.
So choose today to walk in love...forget your past!

Confession of life

Confession of life

The bible is the Word of God. I believe and have faith in God and His Word.
I am what it says I am,
I have what it says I have,
I can do what it says I can do.

My life is changing for the better.
I am strong...healthy...blessed and wealthy.
I am an overcomer!
Jesus loves me and I love Jesus.

The devil is under my feet. He is a defeated foe.
I overcome him by the blood of the lamb...by the word of my testimony.
I am committed to God. I am a faithful son and servant of God.

Amen.

What is Love?

This is the bible definition of love. This is how love is in God's sight. Human love is emotional love whereas God's love is supernatural love.

“Love endures long and is patient and kind; Love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy; is not boastful or vain glorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited – arrogant and inflated with pride; it is not rude (unmannerly), and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it – pays no attention to a suffered wrong.
It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and it endures everything (without weakening).
Love never fails – never fades out or becoming obsolete or comes to an end.” - 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

“He who does not love has not become acquainted with God – does not and never did know Him; FOR GOD IS LOVE."
Love is a person.

God is love. He does not only have love as described in 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, but He is love Himself.

Therefore, we can replace 'God' with love in 1 Cor. 13:4-8, for they are one.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 can also read like this...it is a description of God;
God endures long and is patient and kind; God never is envious nor boils over with jealousy; is not boastful or vain glorious, does not display itself haughtily.
He is not conceited – arrogant and inflated with pride; He is not rude (unmannerly), and does not act unbecomingly. God does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for He is not self-seeking; He is not touchy or fretful or resentful; He takes no account of the evil done to Him – pays no attention to a suffered wrong. He does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
God bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, His hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and He endures everything (without weakening).
God never fails – never fades out or becoming obsolete or comes to an end.”

The love of God is poured out in our hearts
“But the comforter (counselor, helper, intercessor, advocate, strengthener, stand by), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name (in my place, to represent me and act on my behalf), He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall – will remind you of, bring to your remembrance – everything I have told you.” John 14:26

Jesus said that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things. It is evident that one of the first things that He will teach us is to love. That is to love God, love ourselves and love others as God does.
When we are born again, our old life has passed away and the Holy Spirit pours the love of God in our hearts giving birth to a new life in the fullness of God.

"… For God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” Romans 5:5

You have the capacity to love like God does; His love is in your heart.
Also remember that...
“In this (union and communion with Him) love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment – with assurance and boldness to face Him – because as He is so are we in this world.” 1 John 4:17

So now we may boldly begin to declare...by replacing 'I' where love and God was described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8;

I endure long and am patient and kind; I never am envious nor boils over with jealousy; am not boastful or vain glorious, do not display itself haughtily.
I am not conceited – arrogant and inflated with pride; I am not rude (unmannerly), and do not act unbecomingly. I do not insist on its own rights or its own way, for I am not self-seeking; I am not touchy or fretful or resentful; I take no account of the evil done to me – pays no attention to a suffered wrong.
I do not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoice when right and truth prevail.
I bear up under anything and everything that comes, am ever ready to believe the best of every person, my hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and I endure everything (without weakening).
I never fail – never fade out or becoming obsolete or come to an end.”

Confess these truths everyday and you will never be the same again.

The Holy Spirit will enable you to love beyond your natural ability and love as God loves.
